On July 29, 2024, Mr. Xue Jian, Consul General of the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Osaka, together with Mr. Nie Ruilin, Senior Counselor for education and Ms. Li Ruobing, Vice Consul for education, paid a courtesy visit to President Yoshimoto.
The delegation met with President Yoshimoto and Vice President Kamei and exchanged views on the study abroad trends of Chinese students and the current status of Chinese students at KIT, reconfirming their intent to continue to promote people exchange between China and Japan.
After the meeting, they visited the laboratory of Prof. Kuwahara Noriaki, Faculty of Information and Human Sciences and the laboratory of Assoc. Professor Xu Huaizhong, Faculty of Fiber Science and Engineering, where they were briefed on their research by Chinese students affiliated with each laboratory.
At the KIT Museum and Archives, Director Namiki Seishi explained the museum’s collection of French posters and exhibits related to the World Exposition.
