On February 20, 2024, Prof. Ta Thanh Van, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hanoi Medical University (Vietnam), and his 11-member delegation paid a courtesy visit to President Morisako. Prof. Van received his PhD from KIT in 1999, and also served as President of Hanoi Medical University before assuming his current position.
Prof. Van fondly recalled his research days at KIT some 30 years ago and expressed his desire to further deepen the collaboration in the future, to which President Morisako responded positively, adding that the participation of the younger generation of faculty members would be key to this end.
After the meeting, the delegation visited laboratories in the field of biochemistry to strengthen the relationship between the faculty members. So far, six students from Hanoi Medical University have received PhD degrees from KIT, and the two institutions agreed to continue promoting joint research and hosting international students.
