Re: Transition to a New Phase: Living with the Coronavirus

With regard to novel coronavirus infection, Kyoto Prefecture decided to terminate the “Declaration of Strengthened Measures against Kyoto BA.5” as of September 25, and has issued new guidelines: Transition to a New Phase: Living with the Coronavirus. This stipulates future infection control measures and medical treatment systems. At this time, KIT has not made any changes to its current measures to prevent the spread of infection, but again, we ask that each and every one of you act with caution according to this notice and the KIT COVID-19 prevention manual to prevent virus contagion.

Summary of Kyoto Prefecture’s Transition to a New Phase of Living with the Coronavirus:

To ensure a healthy life, we ask that you follow the KIT recommendations on contagion control with regard to class attendance, research activities, extracurricular activities, and living in dormitories/student housing.

Take care of your health. Be sure to take your temperature every morning, and refrain from going to campus if you, family members or roommates have symptoms such as a fever or cough.

When eating and/or drinking, please take thorough precautions against infection such as wearing a mask when talking, not yelling, and not spending long periods of time in eating and drinking establishments.
