*International students who have been studying at KIT for one year or less will be given priority in moving into the International House(Marikoji Kaikan).

College House Matsugasaki (Matsugasaki Campus)

College House Matsugasaki has provided a residence for KIT and affiliated university students and KIT international scholars since 2013. This furnished apartment is only a one minute walk from the KIT campus.

All rooms are equipped with the below items:
Equipment: Desk, LAN cable (please apply in advance at the Center for Information Science), TV, Refrigerator, Electric pot, Desk lamp, Japanese bathrobe (yukata), Hair dryer.
Amenities: Face towel, bath towel, soap, razor, toothbrush, shampoo, body soap.
All rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed at the lobby on the first floor.
No meals are offered at the Villa KIT. Please use the university’s CO-OP cafeteria or restaurants in the vicinity.

Gakudo Kaikan (Guesthouse) in Saga Campus

All rooms are non-smoking.
All rooms are equipped with the below items:
Equipment: Air conditioner, Bed with bed clothes, Desk, Refrigerator, Electrical pot, Hair dryer, and a Shared-Kitchen with basic tools, etc.
Amenities: Two-in-one shampoo, Body soap, Tooth brush, Bath towels, Face towel.
You do everything by yourself such as bed making, cleaning-up and so on.
Since no meals are served, you can use the kitchen equipment.
It takes about 15 minutes from Gakudo Kaikan to the nearest stores and restaurants on foot.

Generally, private accommodations are unfurnished. When you rent a private apartment in Japan, it is customary to pay the landlord key money (reikin) in addition to a security deposit (shikikin) in addition to the first month’s rent. It is recommended that you visit the estate agent with a Japanese friend, or someone who is experienced in such matters, when you search for an apartment.
