The President of the Royal Danish Academy visited KIT

On November 18, 2024, Rector Lene Dammand Lund and Vice Rector Svend Lawaetz of the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation, one of our partner institutions, visited KIT and had an exchange of opinions with President Yoshimoto, Trustee/Vice President Horiuchi, Vice President Kamei, Director of the KYOTO Design Lab Viray and several professors from the Faculty of Design and Architecture. They exchanged views on a number of topics, including university strategy, internationalization, sustainability, and AI, as well as the policies in Denmark and Japan. Rector Lund emphasized KIT’s positioning as a strategic partner for the Royal Danish Academy.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Museum and Archives, where they had the chance to see the current exhibition and Danish pottery items displayed especially for this occasion. Finally, they visited the KYOTO Design Lab where they received a presentation by design and architecture students, and then toured the Design Lab’s various facilities.
We look forward to continuing the positive interaction and exchange.
