Fostering Life Science Researchers and Engineers Who Can Shape the Future

Regarding life phenomena of not only insects but also humans and other mammals, plants and microbes, we place our focus on multi-level bioscience education, covering structures/systems from molecules, cells and individual living things to groups and ecosystems, thereby striving to foster researchers and engineers who can ambitiously address a wide variety of problems confronting our world today.

Educational Program

We provide education to foster human resources who can ambitiously address a wide variety of problems confronting the world today, through the perspective of biotechnology. Together with the Faculty of Applied Biology, the Department of Bioresource Field Science, the Department of Drosophila Genomics and Genetic Resources, and the Department of Insect Biomedical Research, we provide further practical education on biotechnology focusing on life science, thereby striving to foster researchers and engineers who can shape the future of Japanese life-science research.
